Gotta understand'em all
Over the last five years, the Pokémon collectibles market has exploded. In particular, the trading card game has seen a resurgence in popularity, with multiple billions of new cards printed annually. Simply put, outside of the original Pokémon release in the late 1990s, this boom in popularity is unprecedented.
While this growth in popularity presents exciting opportunities for collectors, it has also been accompanied by a series of problems related to the availability of Pokémon card products, rapidly fluctuating, if not unstable prices, and bizarre frenzies at retail stores that occasionally demand police to keep the peace.
What do ordinary collectors think about these developments? How do they collect cards today? What do they want from The Pokémon Company? What do they want from the community that has organically emerged over the last 30 (!) years of collecting, trading, and playing?
The Pokémon TCG Community Survey is designed to answer these questions. Click here for more information!
