The Pokemon TCG Community Survey is designed to collect the thoughts and opinions of folks who collect and trade Pokemon cards. Although the Pokemon TCG is beloved by many millions of children and adults, very little is known about what this community thinks about their hobby. This survey project was designed to fill that gap.
Individuals 18 years or older may take the survey at any time. The survey will remain in the field for approximately two weeks in late spring 2025.
We're asking for about 10 to 15 minutes of your time. There are about 60 questions on the survey, which seems like a lot! But we promise that these questions relate directly to your experiences, and they have been chosen because they're important for understanding the hobby.
Unfortunately, no. Participation in this project is entirely voluntary.
Dr. Nick Davis is a professor at a large public university who teaches classes on public opinion, political psychology, and survey research methods. A whole bunch of people provided feedback to help guide the creation of this project. You can find their names below.
Nope. This project is 100% not affiliated with any official Pokemon entity or organization. The Pokemon Company has not sponsored, authorized, or endorsed this website. The Pokemon TCG Community Survey is a private effort led by fans of this special imaginary world.
Your responses to the Pokemon TCG Community Survey are completely anonymous. The "results" of this survey will eventually be written up into a white paper published on this website that details how people responded to the questionnaire. We also plan to advertise the results widely across social media.
To allay concerns about privacy and to increase the legitimacy of this project, the Pokemon TCG Community Survey was approved by the University of Alabama Institutional Review Board, which requires that responses are confidential and that data will be safeguarded in a number of ways.
